Christine Sherry, Director of Religious Education

Christine Sherry has been a member of St. Teresa's parish since she retired from the United States Air Force in 1998 and moved to Sheffield Village. She attended Catholic schools in Lorain, where her parents still live. She retired in this area to be near to them.

Chris completed a master degree in theology from the University of Dayton when she was stationed near there. She's taught second grade in the St. Teresa/St. Thomas Parish School of Religion since 1999. She became the Director of Religious Education at the parish when Fr. Luca was still pastor. As the DRE, Chris is responsible for our Generations of Faith program. She's also involved with our Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program and prepares adults for Confirmation and helps lead our adult book studies. Chris has also prepared children to become Catholic.

Chris likes to spend her time volunteering and helping people. Her non-church activities include doing income taxes with AARP and working in the gift shop at the French Creek Nature Center. She thanks the Lord everyday for the opportunity she has to spend time with her parents and her siblings and their families.
