Father Edward Smith
Fr. Edward J. Smith was ordained in 2001. He spent 5 years at St. Jude Parish in Elyria (2001 - 2006) and 1 year at Holy Family Parish in Parma (2006 - 2007) as Parochial Vicar. Fr. Smith was Administrator at St. Christine Parish for 2 years (2007 - 2009).
Fr. Smith has been Pastor of St. Teresa of Avila Parish since December 1, 2009. On September 1, 2016 Fr. Smith was also named Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Lorain.
Sue was born and raised in Sheffield Village and is a lifelong member of St. Teresa of Avila Parish. She and her husband Bruce have one daughter, Stephany. Sue enjoys church activities such as Eucharistic Adoration, bible study, and praise and worship. She also enjoys being outdoors and traveling. Sue is the bulletin and newsletter editor and is very thankful for her parish community at St. Teresa Parish.
Debbie has been a life long member of St. Teresa of Avila Church. She attended school here until it closed. She and her husband, Joe, have two sons. Andrew is at Kent State University, and Nicholas attends Sheffield Middle School.
Debbie has been the parish secretary for the past seven years. She is active within the parish community, serving as a member of the cemetery committee, the funeral committee and the Altar & Rosary Society.
Debbie enjoys volunteering for the various activities here at St. Teresa and spending time with her family.
David Aring is in charge of Maintenance at St. Teresa Parish. David cares for the Church building, the Parish Life Center, the Rectory, and the grounds including the cemetery. David lives in Lorain with his wife Kathy.
